Le Dr Nizar Mahlaoui est médecin pédiatre (service d’immuno-hématologie et rhumatologie pédiatrique) et responsable du centre de référence déficits immunitaires héréditaires de l’enfant et de l’adulte (CEREDIH) à l’hôpital universitaire Necker-Enfants Malades (Paris), sous la direction du Pr Alain Fischer (coordonnateur du CEREDIH).
Il est également membre du conseil scientifique de l’association française des patients DIH (IRIS), « Chair » du Registre européen des DIH (ESID) et « Chair » du Board médical de l’association mondiale des patients DIH (IPOPI).
Il est le créateur et le responsable médical du programme transition maladies rares et maladies chroniques de l’hôpital universitaire Necker-Enfants malades, comprenant notamment « La Suite » l’espace adolescent-jeunes adultes dédié à la transition et « La Suite – Necker », la première application mobile dédiée à la transition.
Dr. Nizar Mahlaoui, M.D., Ph.D., is a pediatrician specialized in immuno-hematology at Necker-Enfants Malades University Hospital (Paris, France). He manages the French National Reference Center for Primary Immune Deficiencies (CEREDIH, chaired by Prof. Alain Fischer).
He serves as a member of the scientific advisory board of the French national PID patients association IRIS (www.associationiris.org).
He is a member of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) since 2008 and has served on the ESID Board as the Registry Working Party Chair Elect (2014-2018). He also serves on the International Patient Organisation for Primmary Immunodeficiencies (IPOPI) Board as Chair of the Medical Advisory Panel (Vice Chair: 2013-2017, Chair: 2017—, www.Ipopi.org).
He is the founder and manager of the Transition program for teenagers and young adults with rare chronic diseases in Necker, including the “La Suite-Necker” ward and mobile app (www.la-suite-necker.aphp.fr).
