French national reference center for hereditary or rare cardiomyopathies and cardiac arrhythmias
The constitutive site of the rare diseases reference center for hereditary or rare cardiomyopathies and cardiac arrhytmias in Necker is the only pediatric center in Île-de-France for hereditary heart diseases. It offers all types of care for the diagnosis of diseases of the heart muscle (cardiomyopathies) and hereditary abnormalities of the heart rhythm.
The site includes an activity of consultation, hospitalization and invasive (electrophysiology) and non-invasive (MRI, scanner, Holter, stress test) explorations for all heart diseases covered by the CARDIOGEN network.
The Necker site provides circulatory assistance and transplantation for all childhood cardiomyopathies. It is also active in the implantation of devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators in children, innovative activities in the field of telecardiology and the implantation of monitoring or diagnostic devices. The site has a diagnostic and screening activity for familial forms in collaboration with the other adult actors of the network; as well as genetic counseling and prenatal screening.
This reference center is affiliated with the CARDIOGEN rare diseases healthcare network and the LUNG and GUARD-HEART European reference networks (ERN).
